My research explores how relationships and the systems surrounding people—from families and healthcare settings to schools and communities—shape mental health, resilience, and well-being.
As a marriage and family therapist and researcher, I am particularly interested in how individuals and families navigate stress, adversity, trauma, and chronic illness; how behavioral and relational health can be better integrated into healthcare; and how communities can expand access to practical mental health support.
Across these areas, my work reflects a common question:
How can we strengthen the relationships and systems around people so they become resources for health, healing, and resilience?
